CROSS PARTY SUPPORT SOUGHT FOR CITY NURSING HOME

A campaign to save a nursing home in the city is calling for a united political stance.

A petition to prevent the planned closure of St Francis Nursing Home in Newcastle will take to the streets tomorrow (Jun25).

It’s hoped that up to 20-thousand people will add their signatures in the coming weeks as the HSE begins to phase out the nursing home.

St Francis currently has 30 long term beds and 20 day beds.
