CRISIS AT UHG A& E ABATES SLIGHTLY

There has been a slight reprieve in the overcrowding crisis at University Hospital Galway, with 25 people now awaiting admission, down from 40 earlier today.

However, people are being asked not to attend the A&E department at U.H.G. unless it’s an emergency situation.

The HSE West is asking people if at all possible to visit their GPs instead of attending A&E.
