Crime down in Loughrea but Gardai concerned over oil theft
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The rate of crime in Loughrea for the past three months is down on the corresponding period last year.
The statistic was shared at a meeting of the town’s Joint Policing Committee this week where Garda Supt Enda Walsh also warned the theft of oil was of major concern.
He said oil delivery lorries are being followed to houses and later tanks are being emptied by the culprits.
