Crazy Snake Rebellion for Monroe’s Live
Crazy Snake Rebellion will put their own spin on a classic rock ‘n’ roll sound when they play Monroe’s Live this Saturday, September 6. The band is made up of Doug Niss (vocals/guitar), Rocky Norton (bass) and Ian Saxon on drums. The Leeds based band are about as new as you can get, having formed only four months ago.
“Doug and Rocky met each other through a music site,” says Ian. “They decided to meet up to see if they had any common ground, and it turned out they’d both lived for a period in Athens, Georgia, so they had a lot to talk about.”
Ian was on the same site, and after he met up for a rehearsal with Doug and Rocky, Crazy Snake Rebellion was born. The band have been recording, and are already planning tours abroad – how did they do that in such a short space of time?
“We’ve all been able to bring it stuff from the past and put that on the table,” Ian says. “From that perspective, being experienced musicians, we’ve been able to put things together very quickly.”
