Craughwell property developer remanded in custody with bail consent
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Craughwell property developer Kevin McGeever has appeared in court in Strokestown Co. Roscommon, charged in connection with his alleged abduction.
The 68 year old – who was found on a roadside in January – said he had been kidnapped by a gang and held hostage for eight months.
Last night, he was arrested in Clontarf in Dublin and taken to Gort Garda station, where he was charged in connection with his alleged abduction.
At today’s hearing, Mr McGeever of Nirvana, Ballywinna, Craughwell was charged with knowingly giving false information and wasting Garda time, between January 29th and February 28th 2013.
He was remanded in custody with consent to bail and will appear before Harristown District Court again this Friday.
