CPs TO CLOSE AND BE REPLACED WITH NEW NIGHTCLUB

The Central Park nightclub has closed its doors after over two decades in business on Abbeygate Street in the city
However, while it will no longer be known as CPs the venue is set to continue its use as a nightclub venue with new operators set to re brand the club.
In operation since 1988, the owners of Central Park have expressed their appreciation for the "support and loyalty" of the public over the past 24 years.
Owners Declan Farrell and Maurice Gillen will continue in the nightclub business through their involvement with Halo nightclub.
Maurice’s son John Gillen is to be the new owner of what was CPs, now to be known as Electric.
The new club will retain the current staff and create a further twenty positions in the bar, food and entertainment areas of the venue.
