COURT DATE SET FOR GREENSTAR APPEAL AGAINST KILCONNELL DUMP BREACHES

A waste company found guilty of breaches at its Galway rubbish dump is set to appeal the judgement this summer.

Greenstar Holdings Ltd will appeal on July 7th Judge Elizabeth McGrath’s ruling against it in relation to its landfill facility at Kilconnell.

The Environmental Protection Agency won it’s case against Greenstar Holdings Ltd at Loughrea District Court in January.

Judge Elizabeth McGrath ruled that Greenstar failed to comply with two conditions of its licence at the Kilconnell dump and awarded fines totalling 3 and a half thousand euro.
