COUNTY OFFICIALS WON’T ATTEND MEETING ON ABOLITION OF TOWN COUNCILS

County Council officials will not attend a special meeting to discuss the abolition of town councils, as they have no input in the decision.

Tuam town Council heard this week that the abolition of town councils was a central Government decision and not one made by the County Council.

Galway bay fm news reports County Council officials are only obliged to be present, or represented, at the monthly meetings of the town board.
