A County Councillor says the National Roads Authority will have to listen to the concerns of locals in relation to a junction on the busy N17.

Jim Cuddy says he has received many complaints in relation to the Knockdoe traffic calming measures.

The N17 is a national primary road and the NRA is responsible for the design of the junction, which is designed to slow down motorists, and cost in the region of 400 thousand euro.

23 year old Martin Naughton from Bodane died when his jeep crashed into the traffic island in the early hours of Monday May 20th.

Speaking on Galway Talks, Jim Cuddy says the design of the Knockdoe junction needs to be re-visited
