COUNTY COUNCIL TO PRESS ENVIRONMENT MINISTER ON KILRICKLE WATER
Date Published: 28-Sep-2010
The Mayor of county Galway and members of the County Council are seeking a meeting with the Minister for the Environment to press the case for a public water scheme for the village of Kilrickle in East Galway.
Residents have been relying on rain water for generations.
Hopes were once again dashed after phase 2 of the Loughrea Regional Water scheme was delayed.
The matter was discussed at this week’s meeting of the County Council and there was unanimous support for the proposal to bring the matter to Dublin.
