County Council to consider outer city bypass agreement
Galway bay fm newsroom – Elected members of Galway County Council will this afternoon consider an agreement with the city council regarding the proposed outer city bypass.

The county council is to pursue the project through the IROPI process, which is for projects with an over-riding public interest.
In July, the Supreme court overturned the planning permission for the bypass and awarded costs to environmentalist Peter Sweetman.
County councillors are expected to be briefed on the proposed agreement at the monthly meeting of the local authority this afternoon.
