County Council to carry out redesign works at Knockdoe
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council is to carry out re-design works at a stretch of road on the N17 following completion of a safety audit from the NRA.
It’s understood the works at Knockdoe will include re-alignment and the relocation of bollards.
24 year old Martin Naughton died in a single vehicle accident at Knockdoe in May.
He was the sole occupant in the jeep which crashed into a traffic Island in the early hours of the morning.
Councillor Jim Cuddy says these works will help improve safety at this section of road.
