County Council accused of creating Tuam ghetto
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council has been accused of creating a ‘ghetto’ in Tuam Town.
Councillor Paul O’ Grady says even the animals, owned by some of the former residents of empty houses at Gilmartin Road, would not live in them again.
He told this week’s meeting of the Town Council that the County Council had already spent nearly 200 thousand euro on repairs and a clean-up in the past.
Councillor O’ Grady claims more money should not be wasted on houses at Gilmartin road.
