COUNTY COMMERCIAL RATES MAY STAY THE SAME BUT WATER CHARGES MAY RISE

Galway county council will this afternoon debate the 20-12 budget when it’s expected the commercial rate will stay the same but water charges will rise.

The budget envisages expenditure of 136 million euro for services such as roads, housing and building projects.

That’s down over 5 percent on last years adopted budget of 144 million euro.
