Councillors to consider Oranmore traffic management plan

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Oranmore Development Association has presented its local county councillors with a traffic management plan for the village.
A deputation from the local community met with the Athenry Oranmore municipal district members this week to outline their ongoing concerns.
Among the proposed changes is a reduction in the speed limit on the Maree Road.
It’s hoped that its classification as a local road will enable the area councillors to make a recommendation to the full council on the issue.
Councillor Cuddy says added traffic brought in by new schools and businesses will have to be managed effectively.
