COUNCILLOR WANTS WESTSIDE ESB PYLONS REMOVED

A city councillor is calling for two ESB steel pylons in the Westside of the city to be torn down.

Councillor Colette Connolly has received confirmation from Galway City Council that the ESB does not have planning permission for the structures.

They are located near a children’s playground and skateboarding facilities in Westside.

Councillor Connolly says the ESB may lodge an application to retain the pylons, but local residents should object to any such application
