COUNCILLOR URGES MORE PEOPLE TO SIGN TERRYLAND ROAD PETITION

A city councillor hopes that increasing pressure from campaigners, will persuade city officials and developers not to build a road through Terryland Forest Park.

Councillor Niall O Brolchain is urging people to sign a petition at Shop Street tomorrow, against the proposed road

Over 5,000 signatures were recently handed over by campaign group, ‘Friends of the Forest’ to the Minister for the Environment when he visited Terryland park.

The group now aims to get another 5,000 signatures to present to the city council.
