COUNCILLOR CONDEMNS UN-INSURED CITY RICKSHAWS

Allowing illegal rickshaw operators to operate in the city is an "accident waiting to happen."

That’s according to City Councillor Niall McNeilis.

Only 11 licences have been issued since new bye-laws regulating the operation of rickshaws came into effect recently.

It means several rickshaw owners are taking passengers without licences or insurance.
