Council urged to review synchronisation of Moycullen traffic lights
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council is being urged to review the sequencing of traffic lights in Moycullen village in a bid to improve traffic flow on the N59.
Councillor Thomás Welby says the NRA has not carried out a traffic count on the N59 since 2004, and claims there are serious back-ups in the Moycullen area.
Consultants have been appointed for upgrade works on the road, but tender documents have not yet been published.
Speaking on Galway Talks, Councillor Welby says upgrades to the N59 could begin later this year.
