COUNCIL TO FINALLY PAY INISHBOFIN LANDOWNERS FOR AIRSTRIP

Landowners on Inishbofin who were forced to sell land to Galway County council for an airstrip are finally due to be paid.

It’s six years since the council first issued Compulsory Purchase Orders on 15 commonage owners for land to build the airstrip.
