Regional roads in Moylough, Dunmore and Ballygar are still awaiting improvement works some five months after the damage caused to them by last year’s floods.

Motorists travelling in East Galway are having to contend with large potholes and long stretches of broken tar which appeared following the flooding.

Some drivers have been complaining of damage to vehicles amid growing concerns over road safety.

Local councillor Michael Connolly has slammed the National Roads Authority for its failure to provide the necessary funds to repair the roads.
