COUNCIL SLAMMED FOR NOT OPENING PUBLIC TOILETS AT CITY BEACH

The city council has come in for some major criticism for failing to provide toilet facilities at one of the city’s most popular beaches.

Councillor Padraig Connelly says the public toilets at Silver Strand were under lock and key over the weekend.

People flocked to the beach as temperatures reached 18 degrees at times – the highest temperature recorded so far this year.
