Council refuses to allow more time for city development

An application for more time to build homes in the centre of Galway city have been unsuccessful.

Tom Treacy applied for the extention of duration of planning permission to demolish an existing apartment building and chalet at 6 Newcastle Road.

The plans were to replace them with 8 terraced houses and 4 apartments and car parking.

However, city planners have turned down the application for extra time.
