COUNCIL MEETING YET TO DISCUSS CONTROVERSIAL INISMOR HARBOUR FEES

County councillors have still not discussed the proposed new harbour charges on the Aran Island of Inismor despite the fact that 180 protestors have been outside county buildings since 12.30 today

The islanders who say the charges will have a detrimental effect on island’s future will have to break up their protest shortly in order to catch the ferry home

The charges for ferry passengers and cargo ships on the Aran Island are due to be voted on by the county councillors at the meeting which has been underway since 3pm
