COUNCIL AWAITS RESULTS OF WATER TESTS IN CLARINBRIDGE

Galway County Council is awaiting the results of water tests on the public water supply in Clarinbridge

It now looks likely that the Boil Notice for the Clarinbridge Public Water Supply will remain in place for several more days

The HSE West put the notice in force on Friday evening after tests showed the water to be contaminated

The tests indicated high incidences of the bug known as ‘clostridium per frin gens’ in the system

Director of Services, Jim Cullen says they will have the results of more tests by the end of the week, but the Boil notice will remain until then
