Council awaits costings for Loughrea Town Hall restoration

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council is awaiting final costings on the refurbishment of Loughrea Town Hall.
This week’s meeting of the Loughrea Municipal District was told that once the cost is determined, councillors will have an opportunity to discuss their options.
Before its dissolution, Loughrea Town Council committed 150 thousand euro towards the project.
This money is now being held by the County Council specifically for the restoration of the landmark building.
Cathaoirleach Councillor Michael ‘Moegie’ Maher says the costings will determine the next step.
