Corrib Rangers and Colga bow out of Junior Cup

Mickey Creane enjoyed his visit to his home town as his brace helped NUI Galway to a 2-0 win over Cartron United. Scoreless at the break, Creane broke the deadlock with a close range rebound after a Richie Byrne shot was saved and the Sligo native added the second with a smashing chip from 30 yards.
