CORRIB PARK RESIDENTS UP IN ARMS OVER COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Date Published: 24-Mar-2008
An alleged proposal by Galway city council to build six terraced houses on recreational land in a city suburb has sparked outrage among local residents and city councillors.
Residents of Corrib Park in Westside received an unsigned letter on Good Friday informing them of the city council’s plans for their green space.
The note asked residents to attend a meeting on the 10th of April to view preliminary plans for an infill development of six terraced houses on approximately one acre of the Corrib Park Neighbourhood Park.
