Date Published: 19-May-2009
A convicted mugger who crashed into a car while riding a motorcycle at night with no lights on, received a one-month prison sentence for dangerous driving at Galway District Court this week.
23 year old Pawel Wieslaw, with a former address at Wellpark Grove, Galway, is currently serving a 14-month prison sentence for his part in the vicious assault and robbery of a schoolboy in Mervue two years ago by six Polish men.
Wieslaw received further sentences totalling ten months last month for driving without insurance while unlawfully at large from prison last March.
He was brought in custody before the court yesterday and pleaded guilty to driving a motorcycle dangerously at Tuam Road, on August 17 last year.
He crashed into a car at 3.45 a.m. while not having the motorbike’s headlight switched on.
