Tuam Town Council is being accused of crumbling under pressure by deciding not to allow a gaming arcade be built in the town centre.

Oranmore engineer Pat Daly was originally granted permission to build an adult amusement centre and gaming facility.

The arcade was due to be built along Chapel Lane but had to be approved by Tuam Town Council because of a bye law.

Councillors discussed the development behind closed doors last night and decided not to approve it.
