The controversy over a Travellers camp in Moycullen is ongoing.

It’s understood 6 families are living on a site where at least 12 caravans are parked on a public roadside since the first week in January.

Speaking to Keith Finnegan today, one of the residents William Delaney, says it’s up to the Council to arrange alternative accommodation for the travellers.

Galway Traveller’s Representative Hannah McGinley says the community are within their rights to refuse settled accommodation.

William Delaney denies rumours of illegal dumping claims the Council is to blame for lack of facilities.
