CONTROVERSIAL WASTE PLANT IN KILCHREEST GETS GO AHEAD

An East Galway firm has been given the go-ahead to build a controversial waste plant near Loughrea.

Walsh Waste Ltd was granted permission to convert its animal skin and hide curing plant outside Kilchreest into a waste recycling plant subject to 13 conditions.

Over a hundred people in Kilchreest and the surrounding areas were against the plant at Eskershanore.
