CONTRACTORS BEING SELECTED TO BUILD CONNEMARA AIRSTRIP

Moves are underway to appoint contractors to carry out the development work on the new airstrip in west Connemara.

Long known as the Clifden Airstrip Project, the airstrip site is close to the main road between Clifden and Cleggan.

If matters go to schedule work on the airstrip could get underway in the earlier part of 2008.
