Contract for Ballinfoille Centre to be signed tomorrow

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The contract for the long-awaited Ballinfoille Community Centre will be signed tomorrow. (16/4)

At last evening’s meeting of the City Council, councillors were told that the project – which was first put out to tender in 2011 – is finally set to get underway.

The project has been in the pipeline since the 1980s.

Ballybrit-based construction firm Purcell has been selected for the 3.4 million euro contract.

Mayor of Galway Pádraig Conneely says it’s great news for the area.
