Continuing bail in Galway theft and fraud case
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A former ACC bank official from the city and an accountant from Moycullen have been remanded on continuing bail to March, charged with theft and fraud offences.
Former ACC Bank relationship manager 37 year old Aiden Corcoran of 64, Castan, Doughiska and 57 year old accountant Gerard Carr, of Homefarm, Moycullen appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal Court.
Aiden Corcoran is charged with 25 counts of using falsified P60’s, payslips and bogus end of year accounts documents in the names of various people at ACC Bank, Moneenageisha between 2006 and 2008, knowing they were false, contrary to Section 25 of the Criminal Justice Act 2001.
Gerard Carr is charged with 48 counts of forging P60’s, payslips, End of Year Accounts, Sole Trader Accounts and Statements of Affairs, using company headed paper, knowing they were false, at Carr Business Management Services offices between 2004 and 2009, contrary to Section 25 of the same Act.
Judge Sean O’Donnabhain adjourned the matter to March 7th, when a date may be set for trial.
