ConTempo to give free concert

Continuing their busy autumn schedule, Galway’s ConTempo Quartet will play a free, public concert at NUI Galway’s Martin Ryan Institute on Thursday, September 13 at 1 p.m. All are welcome.

The concert will feature a performance of Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 77, no. 2, written in 1799 and one of the last two quartets he wrote. Haydn is known as the master of the string quartet, and this quartet shows the master at his best.
