CONNEMARA IFA RAISE CONCERN OVER NURSING HOME PAYMENTS

A senior member of the IFA in Connemara has said that the new method of paying for nursing home care will have major implications for the rural west of Ireland.

Connemara vice chairman of the farmer’s organisation Brendan O’ Malley says the new system brings in the possibility of family homes and small farms being put on the market to pay for nursing home care.
