CONNEMARA CHAMBER PRESIDENT CALLS FOR COHESIVE TOURISM STRATEGY

Communities in Connemara must pull together to keep tourism in the region.

That’s the view of the President of the Connemara Chamber of Commerce Brian Huges as Clifden celebrates its annual pony festival.

The event is expected to attract up to seven thousand people and will benefit nearby regions such as Inishbofin and Roundstone.

Chamber President Brian Hughes told Gerry Murphy there needs to be a cohesive tourism strategy for the region.
