Connacht bounce back

THREE minutes into first half injury time Connacht captain Andrew Farley made a lineout call that might, just might, herald a new beginning for the western under-achievers.
It was a moment of off-the cuff brilliance that helped unlock a theretofore watertight Glasgow defence.
The westerners had faced down their problems and finally found a way to overcome them.
Torrential rain and strong winds in the first half kept some away — the crowd was 1,200 — and the rugby tight but it didn’t dampen the home side’s spirits.
Connacht had rediscovered the fire they had shown all season up front and added some control and poise in the engine room to put themselves in position.
Yet still they trailed before half time and after close to 13 minutes attacking in the Glasgow 22, they appeared to be heading towards the interval with nothing to show for their solid efforts against the elements.
Then came that lineout five metres from the visitors line.
