While it has been a disappointing season on the pitch for Connacht, results off the pitch received a lift in the past week with the confirmation of two major sponsorship deals for the province.

The Connacht branch has signed a new three-year deal with Deep RiverRock as the “official water and hydration partner” to all Connacht representative teams until the end of the 2015/16 rugby season; while the province has also announced a new two year deal with Irish Citylink who will become the “official coach partner of Connacht rugby” for the next two years.

Speaking at the Deep River Rock announcement, Coca-Cola Sponsorship Manager Robert Crabbe said the company’s partnership with Connacht Rugby builds on the brand’s status as official partner of all four provincial teams in the country.

Connacht Rugby Commercial & Marketing Manager Alex Saul said the province was delighted to continue its relationship with Deep RiverRock for three full seasons.

“Deep RiverRock have always met our hydrations needs with their quality product. They will continue to service all aspects of our game across the various age grades right up to the Senior squad and, as always, we look forward to working with them,” he said.

The new deal with Irish Citylink will see the coach company provide coach travel for the Connacht professional teams and all Connacht representative teams, as well as provide preferential rates for all rugby clubs around Connacht.

The deal will see a new Connacht Rugby and Citylink co-branded coach on the roads. When not being used by the team, supporters can expect to see the Connacht coach commuting between Dublin airport and Galway.
