CONCERN AS RIVER CLARE LEVELS RISE AGAIN
Date Published: 08-Sep-2010
There is concern in the Claregalway area that the River Clare will burst its banks again as a result of recent heavy rainfall.
Councillor Malachy Noone claims that the water level of the River Clare has risen by 3 and a half metres since Sunday.
Councillor Noone believes that the gate at the Salmon Weir Bridge is being kept closed, to replenish reservoirs which have resulted in low water pressure for certain areas over the past week.
