CONCERN ABOUT NEW ROAD IN CONNEMARA

Work on the new 5 kilometre section of road at Derrylea near Clifden is now scheduled to be finished by the end of June.

The new section of roadway is being used as a pilot project in view of the planned developments on the N59 Galway to Clifden road.

However there is concern about the width of the new section of road and the proximity of safety barriers to the sides of the road.
