CONCERN ABOUT FUTURE OF BEDS AT BALLINASLOE PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL
Date Published: 20-Jan-2012
There are fears for the future of acute psychiatric care in Ballinasloe.
Sinn Féin Councillor, Dermot Connolly, says sources at St. Brigid’s Hospital say that staff have been informed about "imminent closures".
Councillor Connolly claims that 37 acute beds at St. Luke’s ward will be moved into the University Hospital Galway campus in the city.
Staff at the hospital are also expected to move.
