COMPENSATION PAID TO GALWAY RAISED BOG OWNERS

Raised bog owners across Galway have received 213,000 Euro in compensation to date. That’s according to figures from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Galetacht. It also states that 139 Galway turf cutters have opted to relocate to new bogs.
