Companies get chance to see the light – and make savings

Businesses in Galway are being informed how they can make major energy cost savings . . . without having to cough up any payments up front.

eLight, Ireland’s number one solutions experts in the supply, installation and management of fully-guaranteed, energy efficient LED lighting solutions to the commercial business sector, has already saved Galway businesses ALS Minerals and Brooks based in Ballybrit over €20,000 on their energy bills.

Loughrea-based ALS Minerals can expect to save €13,364 annually, as a result of an upgrade of their lighting equipment. 284 LED fittings have been installed in the premises, resulting in an annual energy cost reduction of 57% for the business, and a carbon reduction of 63.8 tonnes.

The Ballybrit branch of Brooks Group, Ireland’s leading timber and builders’ merchant, have had 128 LED fittings installed, resulting in an 67% reduction on their energy bills annually, of €7,732. They will also benefit from a carbon reduction of 30.3 tonnes.

eLight has appointed Michael Aiken, as Corporate Account Manager, Galway, to facilitate local businesses to make the switch to energy efficient lighting. Michael joins the eLight team with over 25 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry, and 10 years leading sales teams and end-to-end sales processes.

The eLight model makes it easy for businesses to reduce their energy costs by between 55 and 80%.   eLight invest 100% of the capital cost associated with the design, supply, installation, operation and maintenance of energy-efficient lighting projects over an agreed contract term, with the energy savings achieved completely funding the project.

There is no requirement for up-front capital from the business adopting the technology.

Since its establishment in 2012, eLight has completed over 600 lighting upgrade projects, installing over 275,000 LED lighting products, saving 150Gw for businesses across Ireland.
