COMMUNITY ALERT COMMITTEE TO BE SET UP IN CREGMORE

A local community is tackling crime and anti-social behaviour head on.

Cregmore Residents Area Association are setting up a Community Alert programme after a huge turn out at a public meeting last night.

Over a hundred local residents, a Garda Liaison Officer and Bernard Carey of Muintir na Tire met in Cregmore National School to discuss growing unease within the community at the rise in anti-social behaviour and house burglaries.
