Comedy treats at Food Fest

Published

on

Two tasty lunchtime comedy shows are on offer at the Ruby Room in the Kings Head this weekend as part of the Galway Food Festival

First up on Easter Saturday is the wonderfully acerbic Patrick McDonnell. Probably better known as the gormless Country and Western star Eoin McLove from Fr Ted, Patrick has lots to say about the state of the Irish Nation and in particular our fascination with New-World wines.

Then on Easter Sunday it’s the turn of Republic of Telly stalwart, Fred Cooke. This ball of energy has performed at all the world’s major comedy festivals and his new show, Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook, is a heady mix of music, madness and mayhem.

Gerry Mallon is host and MC for this comedy smorgasbord.

Tickets are available at the door which opens at 12.30pm, with both shows kicking off at 1pm.
