Colm Keaveney casts first vote in Dail as Fianna Fail TD
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway East’s Colm Keaveney has cast his first vote as a Fianna Fáil TD.
The former Labour chairman joined his new party colleagues in voting for amendments to the government’s Finance Bill.
Deputy Keaveney hasn’t yet been assigned a seat alongside his new colleagues – meaning he had to remain in his old seat beside other former members of Fine Gael and Labour.
His vote was in vain, however, as the government defeated the attempt to water down its tax credits for people setting up new businesses.
