COILLTE TEAMS CONTINUE TO BATTLE BLAZES IN CONNEMARA

Around 40 members of forestry company Coillte are continuing to battle fires in Connemara this morning.

Two helicopters have also been deployed in an effort to quench the fires which are raging in the Moyard area and in the Cloosh forest south of Oughterard.

Hundreds of acres of land has been ravished by fires in these areas as well as Kylemore, Rosmuc and North Connemara in the past few days.
