COCAINE ADDICT JAILED OVER PIPE BOMB AT GALWAY GARDA STATION

A cocaine addict who brought a pipe bomb from Dublin to Athlone and exchanged it there for a rifle has been jailed for 6 years with the final two years suspended.

27 year old Glen Walsh of 8 Lealand, Bonogue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, was ordered to bring the bomb as far as Athlone for a Galway client.

The court heard he was then instructed to swap it there for a rifle which he was to bring back to drug dealers in Dublin to help pay part of a drugs debt.
